Anyone who was born in Britain in the early 80's or before will remember them fondly. For 16 long years they starred in Britain favourite soap opera, even if it was only on in the commercial break, the warm and loving Oxo family, boisterous and normal... at least for the 80's that is! The Oxo family was featured in 42 adverts till its end in 1999, but now the stock cube company has decided to make a revamped 21st Century version. So now we wonder, what ever happened to the actors of the nations favourite soap? Well, British Tabloid the Daily Mail tells all.

See webpage for full story, but the rest of us here's some snippets. Lynda Bellingham, the Oxo Mum never really had HUGE success, but it seems she did better than the rest of them. We see her occasionally in the afternoon chat show "Loose Women" on ITV, where she's a star host. She said:"It didn't destroy my career, but it did colour it in a way I had an inkling it might. My other favourite was Alison Reynolds, now 31 year old mother of three. She played the bespectacled precocious youngest daughter. She remarked on life now: "People often ask me if I was at school with them or if I used to live in their area because the public have seen me grow up." The new advert will have a multi-racial family and more than a hundred actors have auditioned for the parts in London last week. I personally can't wait to see the new family and watch their antics as part of the new advertising campaign.Lynda BellinghamLynda BellinghamAlison ReynoldsAlison Reynolds
