Yeah he's here again, the delicious Doctor of whom many of us dream about, but this time he's leaving his alter ego to do the work. David Tennant is going to bring young women in droves to the theatre to watch one of William Shakespeare's most famous "Hamlet" for the Royal Shakespeare Company, next summer in Stratford. The confirmation comes not long after the news that another British hunk will play the same role for London's Donmar Warehouse, directed by Kenneth Branagh, that being hottie Jude Law, 34 years old. These two gifts of men to womankind are two in a long line of famous actors to play the haunted danish prince. Not forgetting the unforgettable Laurence Olivier or John Gielgud, Olivier bleaching his naturally dark hair white blonde for the part in the 1948 movie version.whilst Gielgud played the prince in 1929 in the Old Vic production. The RSC chief associate director Gregory Doran said that he first thought of Tennant after watching an episode of "Who Do You Think You Are", the show that explores the ancestors of celebrities. In the show David picked up a skull and looked at it contemplatively "It was like an audition," said Doran. The production will run next summer, the time period that David would otherwise be filming the 2009 series of Doctor Who, which means that there won't be a full series of our favourite sci-fi series. The spokesperson, though, says that it's far too early to speculate as to Tennant's continue for series 10 in 2010. Although those that do speculate say that David's ambitions are more turned towards expanding his stage and screen projects. So who knows when we'll watch the appetising Tennant again on our television screens, thankfully we've got the Christmas Special in December with Kylie Minogue on BBC1.Jude Law and David TennantJude Law and David Tennant Laurence Olivier as HamletLaurence Olivier as Hamlet
